With recent advances in wireless communication, the cost of implementing an RF solution is now more affordable than ever. Increasingly, we see more and more third party warehouses implementing an RF system.

The RF module allows the user to enter transactions on wireless devices. Goods can be received, moved and picked via this function.

The benefits of this include real-time update, increased accuracy and speed. No longer does receipt of the goods require handwriting receiving information on a tally sheet and sending it to the office for data entry. The warehouse personnel can enter product details directly on the RF terminal. Goods are immediately made available for picking.

Pallet or serial identification labels may be attached to inbound goods and scanned. Location of pallets can then be easily updated in the system as moves are made, simply by scanning the label and the "to" location. Order picking accuracy is greatly increased since the picker is required to identify both the location and scan the pallet they are picking from.

Goods with serial numbers or pallet identification can, in this way, be handled quickly and efficiently. The use of scanning greatly reduces data entry errors.
